What is Bone Marrow Biopsy?

4. Once the site is numbed, an incision is done on the site of biopsy, from where the needle is inserted.
5. Usually, bone marrow aspiration is done first, in which bone fluid is taken. Then the bone marrow biopsy is done. The medical officer uses a syringe to take the liquid.
6. And the biopsy needle, which is larger than the Aspiration syringe is guided into the bone to take the sample of bone tissue.
